GMC TD 3610 Transit Bus -- Philadelphia (PTC)
GMC TD 3610 Transit Bus -- Philadelphia (PTC) GM's "old-look" bus was a
familiar sight in many American cities from the 40s onward. Designed
especially for city and suburban routes, they came in many sizes with a
variety of engine and transmission options, identified by an alphanumeric
code. This model is based on the TD 3610, built from 1946-48. Measuring 30'
long, "T" indicated a transit bus for city and suburban routes, engines were
"D" for diesel or "G" for gasoline, transmissions were "M" (manual) or "H"
(hydraulic/automatic), 36 indicated seating capacity and 10 was the model
number. Each model features detailed metal and plastic parts, accurate
interior and chassis plus authentic paint and graphics.
